Prevent Shortages: Pramono Requests Strict Monitoring of 3 Kg LPG Distribution
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has requested that the distribution of 3 kg LPG be tightly monitored amid potential supply disruptions due to global dynamics. Pramono stated that 3 kg LPG is a basic need for the community.
“What needs special attention is 3 kg LPG, because this is a very basic need,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Friday (17/4/2026).
According to him, the current global geopolitical situation is not yet stable. In addition, there is potential impact from El Nino that could affect the energy supply chain, including fuel and LPG.
Therefore, his side continues to monitor energy distribution, including subsidised fuel oil (BBM) and LPG, to prevent shortages.
“We are specifically monitoring matters related to BBM and 3 kg LPG, so that we do not act hastily when problems occur,” he said.
In addition, the DKI Provincial Government is also preparing anticipatory measures to maintain energy resilience in Jakarta. One of them, he said, is through the development of renewable energy.
“We are starting to develop alternative energy such as solar panels as part of energy efficiency efforts,” he concluded.
