JAKARTA (JP): Governor Surjadi Soedirdja has asked his
subordinates and the Jakarta branch of the Indonesian Journalists
Association to create a detailed plan for a proposed Jakarta
Press Center building.

Speaking to association members, Surjadi said yesterday that
the public works and the city planning agencies are willing to
help the members in designing the press center's master plan.

"The two agencies have good architects," he said.

Tarman Azam, chairman of the association's Jakarta branch,
said that a big city like Jakarta should have a press center,
