Padang Panjang City Government has received a presidential community assistance donation of one sacrificial cow for the 1447 Hijriah Eid al-Adha celebration, to be distributed to the public through Masjid M Noer in Tanah Hitam Village. The handover was announced during a virtual ceremony for the presidential sacrificial cow distribution to governors, regents, and mayors across Indonesia, attended by Deputy Mayor Allex Saputra and relevant agencies at the City Hall VIP Room on Tuesday (26 May).

Nationally, the President distributed 598 sacrificial cows to 552 regions, including provinces, regencies, and cities, with an average weight of 800 to 1,000 kilograms per animal. Deputy Minister of State Secretariat Juri Ardiantoro stated the initiative reflects government concern for the public and support for local livestock development. Deputy Mayor Allex Saputra expressed gratitude for the continued assistance, highlighting its economic benefits for local farmers.

‘Thankfully, Padang Panjang residents have once again received the President’s sacrificial cow donation. Beyond benefiting the community, this support also aids local livestock breeders,’ he said.

The cow for Padang Panjang came from local breeder Budi Andrianto, a resident of Ganting Village in East Padang Panjang District, weighing approximately 960 kilograms and valued at Rp90 million. The city government hopes the presidential community assistance will strengthen communal spirit and social solidarity ahead of Eid al-Adha.
