Presidential Task Force for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Delivers Aid from President to Pidie Residents
Jakarta (ANTARA) — The Head of the Regional Crisis Centre for the Presidential Task Force for Accelerated Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (PRR) in Aceh, Safrizal Zakaria Ali, directly handed over aid from President Prabowo Subianto to victims of hydrometeorological disasters in Sumatra in Pidie District, Aceh.
Safrizal, who also serves as Director-General of Regional Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs, conveyed that the presidential aid brought to Pidie today represents the Head of State’s concern for survivors affected by floods and landslides.
“This is an expression of President Prabowo’s concern for affected communities. The regent will then distribute it,” said Safrizal in his statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The aid handed over to Pidie Regent Sarjani Abdullah included religious items such as 250 copies of the Quran, 500 prayer mats, 250 sarongs, and 250 headscarves for women.
Additionally, new, export-quality clothing was provided, including 5,000 pairs of trousers, 400 jackets, 1,000 shirts, 1,000 t-shirts, 1,000 sarongs, 1,000 various clothing items, and 500 headscarves.
The PRR Task Force also handed over 270 packages of kitchen equipment to be distributed to victims who lost their kitchen utensils. Each kitchen equipment package contains items such as cooking pots, plates, glasses, spoons, and forks.
Pidie Regent Sarjani Abdullah expressed his gratitude to the President and the PRR Task Force for their substantial attention to Pidie and Aceh in general.
