Presidential Staff Office Partners with PSMTI to Support Government Priority Programmes

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Presidential Chief of Staff Dudung Abdurachman visited the Indonesian Chinese Social Association (PSMTI) in Jakarta on Monday to enhance cooperation in supporting the government’s priority programmes. “This will also maintain national stability, so that the achievements for Golden Indonesia 2045 will be safeguarded and realised in accordance with our nation’s ideals,” said the retired General Dudung Abdurachman in a statement cited in Jakarta on Monday. The meeting, held in the format of an exclusive discussion forum titled “PSMTI Business Talks” at the Hakka Indonesia Museum, Taman Budaya Tionghoa Indonesia, TMII, Jakarta, served as a strategic platform to gather aspirations, input, and views from PSMTI entrepreneurs to be conveyed directly to the government. Dudung, who is also a former Army Chief of Staff, explained that the meeting also discussed national unity and integrity, legal certainty, and national political stability. “I conveyed many things, especially regarding how to maintain national unity and integrity,” said Dudung. He added that there was input from PSMTI concerning the global, regional, and national political situation, which is currently a focus for the government, to be subsequently reported to President Prabowo Subianto. Besides the political situation, Dudung mentioned that there was input on legal certainty, the economic situation, and taxation issues that greatly impact business actors, to be accommodated through the KSP Mendengar programme. The KSP assured that the government will always maintain political and economic stability, while PSMTI expressed its commitment to fully support government programmes and national strategic projects. On the same occasion, Dudung also responded to journalists’ questions regarding the promotion of Defence Minister’s son, Infantry Colonel Muhammad Benrieyadin Sjamsoeddin, who was promoted to Brigadier General with a posting as Commander of Military Resort 051/Wijayakarta. “Indeed, there must be considerations from the TNI Commander. Because there may be specific matters that are taken into consideration, and that is the domain of the TNI Commander,” concluded Dudung.
