Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has stated that the finalisation of the Presidential Regulation concerning online transportation, specifically online motorcycle taxis (ojol), will be completed soon. He made the statement after a meeting with the leadership of the House of Representatives at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Monday, 10 August 2026. The meeting was also attended by Minister of MSMEs Maman Abdurrahman, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, and Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi. Prasetyo expressed hope that the Presidential Regulation could be announced before 17 August 2026, confirming that ojol drivers will be classified as micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Minister of MSMEs Maman Abdurrahman confirmed the agreement on this new status, noting that all parties have reached a consensus. He explained that the reclassification offers several benefits, including greater working time flexibility for drivers. Furthermore, he stated that ojol drivers would be able to access various government incentive packages designed for MSMEs.
