Presidential Regulation 27/2026: Gojek Ensures No Price Increase for GoRide Services
The ride-hailing platform Gojek has confirmed that there will be no increase in prices for its two-wheel transport service, GoRide, following the introduction of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 27 of 2026 regarding the reduction of income deductions for driver partners.
“We will ensure that there are no changes to the prices paid by consumers for regular GoRide services. By doing this, we hope that the number of consumer orders will remain stable and sustainable, and that the total income for driver partners can also improve,” said Hans Patuwo, President Director/CEO of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), during a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Furthermore, Hans stated that the company respects and is prepared to implement the directives of President Prabowo Subianto regarding the reduction of the commission taken by application providers from online motorcycle taxi drivers to eight per cent.
“We are committed to adjusting the revenue-sharing scheme so that 92 per cent of every GoRide trip will be the right of the driver. This is a significant change for us,” he added.
Additionally, he noted that Gojek will strengthen welfare programmes for driver partners and their families as a form of support in realising the ‘Asta Cita’ mission concerning the creation of quality employment and economic equality.
On the other hand, Hans mentioned that the company will also optimise other business lines to support the changes brought about by the adaptation to Perpres 27/2026. “As part of the GoTo ecosystem, we have various mutually supporting and continuously growing business lines. This includes delivery services, logistics, finance, and various other digital services,” said Hans.
Regarding the implementation timeline, the company stated it is still awaiting further details from the government. “Regarding the details of the implementation and the detailed plan, we are still waiting for the specific details of the Presidential Regulation. We are also continuing to communicate and engage in dialogue with stakeholders throughout this process,” said GOTO Vice President Director, Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo.
