JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi revealed that his office has already received the name of the candidate Constitutional Court (MK) judge proposed by the Supreme Court (MA) to replace Anwar Usman.

Anwar Usman is set to retire as an MK justice on 6 April 2026 after serving for 15 years at the institution.

“We have received it. It will be announced later,” Prasetyo said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday evening (8/4/2026).

“The oath-taking is planned as soon as possible this week,” Prasetyo added.

On Monday (6/4/2026), Anwar Usman officially completed 15 years of service at the institution nicknamed the “guardian of the constitution.”

In his final hearing on Monday (16/3/2026), Anwar Usman expressed his apologies for his tenure as an MK justice.

“Therefore, from the depths of my heart, I convey my apologies,” Anwar Usman said on Monday.

On that occasion, Anwar Usman also delivered a farewell message, as he would complete 15 years of service at the MK on 6 April 2026.

“Before I read the decision, this might be the last hearing I attend, because on 6 April 2024, I will have served 15 years at the Constitutional Court,” Anwar Usman said.

Based on alphabetical order, the candidate judge to replace Anwar Usman proposed by the MA is Fahmirion. Previously, he served as a High Court Judge at the Denpasar High Court.

According to the official website of the Denpasar High Court, Fahmirion has been a High Court Judge at the Denpasar High Court since 26 May 2025.
