Presidential Palace Holds Affordable Market at Monas, with Vouchers for Free Groceries and Food
JAKARTA - The Presidential Palace is holding an Affordable Market event in the lead-up to Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah at the grounds of the National Monument (Monas), Jakarta, on Saturday (28/3/2026).
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that this Affordable Market activity is a direct instruction from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.
“The Palace will once again welcome the public through a bazaar, affordable market, door prizes, and public entertainment for Jakarta residents; both those not travelling for Eid and those who have returned, especially beneficiary families,” said Teddy, via the Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet, on Saturday afternoon.
According to him, this Eid is not just about tradition, but about bringing happiness and togetherness to everyone.
“The President wants as many people as possible to share in the joy of Eid in a warm and communal atmosphere,” Teddy remarked.
Teddy explained that various elements have been prepared to liven up the Affordable Market event.
He detailed that there will be 100,000 shopping vouchers for groceries and free items worth Rp 500,000.
“A people’s bazaar from traders in Tanah Abang, Senen, and various other markets. Door prizes of 1,000 bicycles and 100 electric motorcycles,” he said.
In addition, there will be a variety of children’s games as well as entertainment performances.
“Public entertainment stage with Wali and Bagindas across Monas, Jakarta D from 16:00 - 21:00 WIB,” Teddy added.
