Presidential election and trade

Indonesia's July 5 election is no different from trading
activities anywhere in the world. The sellers are the campaign
teams and the presidential and vice presidential candidates,
while the buyers are the country's 150 million eligible voters.

During the one-month campaign period, the sellers will visit
places across the country to offer their 'merchandise'. The
candidate that sells themselves the best will depend on the
quality of their wares and their charisma.

Like all buyers, we must beware, and in this trade we should
we should elect candidates with our consciences. We should not
vote for anyone in exchange for promises of money.

We should look, listen and take note of all the promises made
by the candidates while observing their behavior.

We need a first-class leader who knows the country's problems
well and has the courage to seek solutions fast instead of
concealing the problems.

We should not elect any candidate who can not settle the
country's serious problems.
