Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Presidential Chief of Staff General (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman has urged all parties to be wise in expressing their opinions and criticism. He stated that the government is always open to receiving input and critique.

‘Because criticism is the breath of democracy that must build, not destroy. Do not equate criticism with provocation, slander, and sowing discord that can damage our brotherhood as a nation,’ Dudung said, as quoted from the Presidential Staff Office’s Instagram account on Friday (12/6/2026).

On that occasion, he also reminded the audience of Indonesia’s struggle to become a unified nation. He touched upon the struggles against the Madiun rebellion, DI/TII, RMS, G30S, the conflicts in Ambon, Poso, Sampit, Sambas, Aceh, and various socio-political events in Papua and other regions.

‘This nation remains standing because we have a noble heritage: Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, Tan Hana Dharma Mangrwa, unity in diversity, there is no dual truth,’ he said.

For this reason, Dudung called on the nation to remain solid in moving towards a Golden Indonesia, under the administration of President Prabowo Subianto. He expressed hope that the series of historical events could serve as a reflection and introspection to realise a just and dignified Indonesia.
