President University ranks 165th globally in WURI 2026

President University has secured a ranking of 165th globally in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026. The institution’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Research and Innovation, Adhi Setyo Santoso, stated on Friday that the university placed in the top 100 globally in 18 out of the 24 innovation categories assessed. ‘President University is always committed to delivering learning that supports the future of all our students. We continuously develop innovations in daily learning to ensure students can keep pace with global developments, so the knowledge gained is not merely theoretical but can be applied directly,’ he said. Adhi noted the achievement was driven by the campus securing top five global positions in four specific categories: cultural value innovation, technology infrastructure, AI-based learning transformation, and inclusive social innovation. One globally recognised innovation is the use of the RobloxVerse Learning platform, which provides students with immersive class simulation experiences in the metaverse digital space. ‘The use of AI in HumAIn Learning is not intended to replace lecturers, but to strengthen the learning process while keeping lecturers at the centre of academic interaction and as the main mentors in student development,’ Adhi explained. Beyond academic digitalisation, he noted the WURI assessment also highlighted the institution’s community empowerment programme through a women farmers’ group mentoring initiative promoting sustainable agricultural practices. To balance the competitive modern higher education climate, Adhi said the university equips students with character building and social awareness in order to produce professional graduates who uphold social ethics. ‘Through the Culture of Care (CoC), President University affirms its belief that a university’s task is not only to produce professionally competent graduates, but also ethical individuals who care for others and possess environmental sustainability awareness,’ Adhi concluded.
