On 5 October, the TNI will conduct a parade and defile. The ceremony, which will take place at Monas, is expected to be led by the President as the inspector of ceremonies.

“On 5 October, the TNI will carry out a parade and defile. Specifically at Monas, God willing, the ceremony will be led by the President,” said the Head of the TNI Public Information Centre, Major General Muhammad Nas, when met at Monas, Jakarta, on Saturday.

Nas continued, stating that the TNI will hold a ceremony involving 51,000 personnel from various branches and corps.

In addition to the marching personnel, the TNI will also showcase a variety of primary weapon systems (alutsista) from land and air forces. These military assets will appear in the parade formation and participate in various combat simulations in front of Monas.

“There will be a total of 900 pieces of military hardware, including cavalry units and K-9 units, which will participate to enliven the 81st TNI anniversary,” Nas explained.

He confirmed that preparations are currently being finalised to ensure that the peak series of the 81st TNI anniversary celebrations proceeds safely and smoothly.
