President to attend Indonesian Petroleum Association events
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Presidential Staff Office Chief of Staff General (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman said President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend activities organised by the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) as part of the government’s agenda to strengthen the national energy sector.
“The President will attend the exhibition of Indonesian Petroleum Association’s oil entrepreneurs,” Dudung said at the Presidential Secretariat, Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday.
Dudung explained that the President’s attendance at the event represents participation in both the exhibition and meetings of oil and gas industry players, including energy entrepreneurs from the ASEAN region.
The inauguration of the IPA Convention and Exhibition (IPA Convex) is planned to be chaired by President Prabowo Subianto and Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia. In this event there will be a number of strategic contracts, and a report from the ESDM Minister.
The forum is an important moment to strengthen regional energy industry cooperation and to demonstrate Indonesia’s commitment to energy security and to boosting investment in the oil and gas sector.
He said the government will participate in a hearing with the House of Representatives (DPR) to discuss developments in the national economy.
“For the DPR activity there will be a hearing with the DPR, discussing issues of current economic development,” he added.
