President Taxi's careless drivers

On Sunday, June 26, 1994, at about 2:30 p.m., I was struck by
a speeding President Taxi, while riding a GL-Pro motorcycle at
low speed at the Jl. Daan Mogot-Jl. Kedoya Raya junction. The cab
left me and my badly damaged vehicle sprawled on the road and
sped away in the direction of Kebon Jeruk. I had no time to note
the police number of the cab.

When I arrived at the emergency ward of Al-Kamal Hospital in
Kedoya, moaning with pain, I told myself that people's tales
about President Taxi drivers -- such as meter tampering, hit and
run accidents, armed robbery of passengers -- do indeed contain
grains of truth.

The PT President Taxi company must act immediately to
discipline their drivers before passengers take their punishment
into their own hands.
