President Sings with Locals on Miangas Island

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto invited students and locals to sing together during his inspection of SMKN 2 Talaud in Indonesia’s northernmost region, Miangas Island, North Sulawesi.

Upon arriving at the school in Miangas, Kepulauan Talaud Regency, on Saturday, the President was welcomed by students and other residents with a greeting song.

The President then asked them to sing together again. He specifically requested they sing the song “Hymne Guru”.

During the occasion, the President introduced members of the accompanying Merah Putih Cabinet, including Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Communications and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo.

The President arrived in Miangas after departing from Cebu, Philippines, on Saturday around 09:45 WIB, following his attendance at the ASEAN Summit (KTT) k-48 on 7-8 May 2026.

Upon arrival in Miangas, the President was greeted by Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Communications and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid, TNI Deputy Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita, Air Force Chief of Staff Air Marshal TNI Mohamad Tonny Harjono, and several other officials.

The President was also accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
