President Receives Dudung at Palace to Discuss Geopolitical Dynamics
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The President received the Special Presidential Advisor on National Defence, General (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman, at Merdeka Palace in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (21/4/2026) afternoon Western Indonesia Time. The meeting discussed the development of the national defence and security situation amid global geopolitical dynamics.
The Cabinet Secretary explained that the head of state received a report on the latest conditions in the field of defence and security, including the continuously evolving geopolitical dynamics. “In that meeting, the President received a report on geopolitical dynamics as well as developments in the field of defence and security,” he said in a press release.
In addition to receiving the report, during the meeting the President also provided strategic directives regarding several forward steps in maintaining, strengthening, and enhancing the national defence system for the nation’s security. “As well as providing strategic directives for forward geostrategic steps,” he stated.
According to him, the meeting affirmed the government’s adaptive efforts in facing challenges from the dynamic global geopolitical situation. In addition, it also demonstrated commitment to ensuring that national security stability remains maintained.
