President Putin sends Independence Day greetings to President Prabowo
Russian President Vladimir Putin has conveyed his congratulations on the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day to President Prabowo Subianto.
Putin stated on Monday that strengthening relations between Russia and Indonesia aligns with efforts to enhance security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and throughout the world.
“Relations between Moscow and Jakarta are developing very well, as reflected in our productive interactions… I am confident that these relations fully serve the interests of the peoples of our two friendly nations and contribute to strengthening security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and across the globe,” the message read.
The previous day, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Jakarta expressed condolences over the loss of life and damage caused by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara Province, which occurred on Saturday morning (15/8).
“We extend our deepest sympathies to the families and relatives of the deceased. We hope that life in the areas affected by this natural disaster can soon return to normal,” the Russian Embassy in Jakarta wrote via its Instagram account on Sunday (16/8).
