Russian President Vladimir Putin met with a group of journalists, including those from India. Responding to a question from Press Trust of India (PTI) Editor-in-Chief Vijay Joshi about Pakistan’s dependence on China, Putin gave a comprehensive answer. “Of course, we are very much aware of the intricacies of the issues relating to the border between India and Pakistan. You said that Pakistan is a country that is completely under China’s control. I do not think so,” Putin said in response to the question posed. According to him, first and foremost, Pakistan is a large country. Pakistan has diverse relations with various countries. For Putin, it is of course very important for Pakistan to consider cooperation with China. “But everyone is developing relations with China… India is ranked third, Russia is ranked fourth in terms of GDP… China, the US, India, and Russia, those are the top four countries… These are complex and diverse relations between India and China, and interfering in them is not a good idea,” Putin remarked.
