President Prabowo's sacrificial cow arrives at Al-Ichrom Grand Mosque in West Jakarta
JAKARTA (ANTARA) - President Prabowo’s sacrificial cow arrived at Al-Ichrom Grand Mosque on Prepedan Road in Kalideres, West Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon.
The arrival of the approximately one-tonne cow drew attention from local residents and mosque worshippers.
The mosque’s administrator, Murasin Kilung, expressed delight at receiving a cow directly from the President for the first time.
“Alhamdulillah, President Prabowo has donated a one-tonne cow. I’m delighted as it’s the first time we’ve received a cow from the President,” Murasin told reporters at the scene on Tuesday.
He said the sacrificial beef would be distributed to local residents, community members of RW 09 in Kamal Village, as well as the poor and widows in the area.
Al-Ichrom Grand Mosque received 10 cattle and 11 goats from government agencies and other institutions.
On-site observations revealed the unloading process from the transport vehicle was challenging. Mosque officials and the sacrifice committee worked hard to lower the large cow before placing it in the mosque courtyard.
The President’s sacrificial cow is scheduled to be slaughtered after the Eid al-Adha prayer.
