Kudus - The Kudus Regency Agriculture and Food Department in Central Java has confirmed that President Prabowo Subianto’s sacrificial cattle for the regency are healthy ahead of Eid al-Adha.

“Today (26 May), we conducted final checks with the Livestock Department and Veterinary Health Centre on local cattle selected as President Prabowo’s sacrificial animals,” said Arin Nikmah, Head of the Livestock Department at the Kudus Regency Agriculture and Food Department, during inspections at Mustahin’s cattle farm in Pladen Village, Jekulo Subdistrict, Kudus, on Tuesday.

She stated that the inspection results showed the cattle are healthy and have gained weight.

“Today’s checks are the final round by the Livestock Department and Veterinary Health Centre to verify the President’s donated cattle at our local farms. Fortunately, their condition has been confirmed healthy,” she added.

Officials also provided technical guidance to farmers regarding preparations for the cattle’s shipment ahead of the symbolic handover.

Previously, the local government was tasked with identifying local cattle farmers with animals weighing nearly one tonne as potential candidates for the presidential sacrificial offering.

Data revealed three farmers from Jekulo and Jati Subdistricts were proposed, with breeds including Simmental and Brangus.

The symbolic handover of the President’s sacrificial cattle is scheduled to be conducted by the Kudus Regent at Al-Fajr Mosque in Karangampel Village, Kaliwungu Subdistrict.

Regarding the distribution of the sacrificial meat, the mosque committee will manage the allocation to the local community according to established procedures.
