President Prabowo's 30 Sacrificial Cattle: Si Gemoy, Predator and Mbah Iran
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto has ordered high-quality cattle for sacrificial purposes during the 2026 Eid al-Adha celebrations. The selected cattle feature unique names. Below are some of the names chosen by President Prabowo for this year’s sacrificial cattle:
- Sadewa Next Generation
The President’s sacrificial cattle in Blitar Regency, East Java, is named Sadewa Next Generation. The Limousin breed weighs 1.76 tonnes and is cared for by Azis Yasir Naufal, a breeder from Jeblog Village, Talun Subdistrict, Blitar.
Sadewa was chosen for its large frame and excellent health condition. The cattle attracted public attention due to its massive size and a price of approximately Rp100 million.
- Gendowor
In Southeast Sulawesi, President Prabowo’s sacrificial cattle is named Gendowor. The Simmental breed weighs around 1.1 tonnes and comes from Pombulaa Jaya Village, Konda Subdistrict.
Gendowor was named for its large and majestic physique. With a weight exceeding one tonne, this cattle has drawn local attention ahead of Eid al-Adha 2026.
- Si Mayor
The President’s sacrificial cattle in Bandung Barat Regency is named Si Mayor. The Simmental breed weighs over one tonne and is cared for by a local breeder in Gununghalu Subdistrict.
Si Mayor was named for its imposing appearance and dignified stature. The presence of this cattle has become a source of pride for local breeders in Bandung Barat.
- Predator
In Sukabumi, West Java, President Prabowo’s sacrificial cattle is named Predator. It weighs around 1.1 tonnes and is one of the larger cattle in the region.
Predator was chosen for its large and majestic frame. The cattle has attracted attention in Sukabumi due to its notably large size compared to typical cattle.
- Panda
The President’s sacrificial cattle in Palembang, South Sumatra, is named Panda. The Simmental breed weighs approximately 964 kilograms and is cared for by Tedjo at his family farm.
Panda was named for its black-and-white markings resembling a panda. It was selected as one of President Prabowo’s sacrificial cattle for Eid al-Adha 2026.
- Tigo Selo
Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra, has again received sacrificial cattle from President Prabowo Subianto for Eid al-Adha 2026. The cattle is named Tigo Selo and weighs around 1.1 tonnes, originating from Jorong Kapalo Koto, Durian Gadang Nagari.
Tigo Selo was named after the local area and has drawn attention due to its large size. The presence of this cattle has become a source of pride for local breeders in Limapuluh Kota.
- Mbah Iran
In Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta, President Prabowo’s chosen sacrificial cattle is named Mbah Iran. The Peranakan Ongole (PO) breed weighs around one tonne and was purchased for approximately Rp90 million.
The cattle has been cared for by its breeder for around two years and is known for its excellent physical condition. After being selected as the President’s sacrificial cattle, Mbah Iran has received more intensive care to maintain its health ahead of Eid al-Adha.
- Glendoh
President Prabowo Subianto purchased a large cattle from a Sragen, Central Java, breeder named Glendoh. The Limousin Cross breed weighs 950 kilograms and is cared for by 84-year-old breeder Hadi Sumanto from Tangkil Village.
Glendoh was bought for around Rp80 million and is planned to be distributed to a mosque in Sangiran, Sragen. To maintain its optimal weight, the cattle is fed fresh grass, rice straw, and daily supplements of concentrates and vitamins.
- Batu Aji
In Magelang Regency, Central Java, President Prabowo’s sacrificial cattle is named Batu Aji. It weighs around 1.53 tonnes and was purchased from a breeder in Sawangan Subdistrict for Rp126 million.
Batu Aji’s large size makes it one of the heaviest sacrificial cattle selected this year. The cattle has also drawn attention due to its tall stature and intensive care since a young age.
- Sambo
In Tangerang City, Banten, President Prabowo’s chosen sacrificial cattle is named Sambo. The Brangus breed weighs around 1.1 tonnes and is cared for by Muhammad Roji, a breeder from Cipondoh. Sambo was purchased for Rp122 million after passing strict health inspections.
Sambo has been specially cared for over three years with a regular diet of tofu residue, concentrates, and cassava. In addition to being bathed twice daily, the black-coloured cattle has received full vaccinations and vitamins to ensure health ahead of Eid al-Adha 2026. The name ‘Sambo’ was given due to its large and fierce appearance.
- Predator
In Sukabumi City, West Java, President Prabowo’s sacrificial cattle is named Predator. The Simmental Cross Limousin breed weighs 1.17 tonnes and is cared for by breeder Tisa Dera in Lembursitu, Sukabumi. Predator was selected after passing strict health inspections by the livestock department and the Presidential Secretariat.
The name Predator was chosen for its large and majestic frame compared to other cattle. The three-year-old cattle is intensively cared for with up to 90 kilograms of feed daily to maintain its weight and health ahead of Eid al-Adha 2026.
