President Prabowo Welcomes Thai PM with Jamu at Merdeka Palace

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to receive an official visit from Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, on Monday (3/8/2026) at around 4.30 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. “Later this afternoon, Thai PM Charnvirakul will arrive in Jakarta and will be received by President Prabowo at the Merdeka Palace,” said Cabinet Secretary First Lieutenant Teddy Indra Wijaya. The official visit by PM Charnvirakul to Jakarta is his first since officially taking office as Thailand’s 32nd prime minister in September 2025. The visit also marks the first by a Thai prime minister to Indonesia in 15 years. During the meeting at the Merdeka Palace, the two leaders are scheduled to launch the Indonesia-Thailand Strategic Partnership Roadmap 2026-2030. The cooperation document focuses on three main areas: security, economic development, and socio-cultural affairs.
