President Prabowo Welcomes Indian PM Narendra Modi on State Visit

President Prabowo Subianto welcomed the arrival of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Monday (6/7/2026). The state visit was a reciprocal one, following President Prabowo’s visit to India in January 2025, and forms part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. The meeting between the two leaders is expected to further strengthen cooperation between Indonesia and India in various fields, including the economy, trade, investment, defence, and regional relations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit serves as momentum for Indonesia and India to continue their commitment to deepening the strategic partnership that has been established thus far.
