President Prabowo was honoured with a meeting alongside seven Emirati leaders.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ), also the ruler of Abu Dhabi, invited six other Emirati rulers to receive President Prabowo Subianto at the Qasr Al Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on Thursday, February 26th, local time.

Secretary of the Cabinet, Teddy Indra Wijaya, when confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday, stated that President Prabowo received a special welcome by sitting together with the seven Emirati leaders.

This meeting of the seven Emirati leaders is usually held once a year.

The seven leaders are the Emir of Abu Dhabi, who is also the President of the UAE, the Emir of Dubai, who is also the Prime Minister of the UAE, as well as the Emirs of Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah.

The series of meetings continued with an Iftar (breaking of the fast) together, followed by performing the Maghrib prayer in congregation with the entourage.

As a conclusion, the two leaders held a one-on-one meeting for more than an hour to discuss several strategic agendas, namely strengthening energy cooperation and future economic partnerships. The UAE also expressed its desire to increase investment in Indonesia.

This meeting reaffirms the commitment of both countries to deepen mutually beneficial and long-term oriented collaboration.

This meeting between the two Presidents is particularly significant because this year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and the UAE.

This half-century of partnership serves as a solid foundation for both countries to open a new chapter of strategic cooperation that is broader, deeper, and has a greater impact on the welfare of the people of both nations.

Accompanying President Prabowo were Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Secretary of the Cabinet Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Judha Nugraha.

Meanwhile, President MBZ was accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court Hamdan bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, Advisor to the Presidential Court Mohamed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Advisor for Strategic Affairs Ahmed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei, and UAE Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulla Salem Obaid Salem Al Dhaheri.
