He made the remarks in an interview after attending the inaugural Gaza Board of Peace Summit in Washington, United States, on Thursday local time.

“Of course, we must remain vigilant against groups that seek to derail a comprehensive solution. Such efforts can come from various sides,” he said.

The inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace (BoP) was held in Washington as an initial step toward establishing an international mechanism to support peace and reconstruction in Gaza.

The forum marked the official launch of the BoP and served as a platform to consolidate member states’ commitments to supporting Gaza’s reconstruction.

During the meeting, participants underscored the importance of providing concrete support to Gaza, both through financial assistance and operational contributions.

The meeting also endorsed a document that will serve as the framework for implementing United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 of 2025, which provides the legal and political basis for future stabilisation measures.

According to an official statement, President Prabowo’s participation reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to playing an active role in establishing and strengthening the BoP.

Indonesia views the BoP as a transitional international mechanism mandated by the United Nations Security Council to ensure that the stabilisation process is structured, measurable, and supported by broad international legitimacy.

Indonesia has expressed readiness to contribute through an International Stabilisation Force (ISF) under a clear mandate and agreed operational parameters, in line with international law and national provisions.

Indonesia also supports long-term reconstruction and stabilisation efforts in Gaza, while respecting the rights of the Palestinian people and the goal of a two-state solution.
