President Prabowo warmly welcomed by Indonesian diaspora children in Japan

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto received a warm welcome from Indonesian diaspora children who enthusiastically offered sincere prayers for the head of state upon his arrival in Tokyo on Sunday (29/3) night to begin a series of working visits to Japan.

“Very happy,” stated Muhammad Hipzan, Luisa Fatimah, and Asia Tania in turn after welcoming President Prabowo Subianto, quoted from a statement by the Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta on Monday.

President Prabowo’s presence, which received an official welcome from the Japanese government, also attracted attention from the Indonesian diaspora community, including children who joined the moment.

Luisa admitted that meeting the president directly was a valuable experience because she had previously only seen the head of state on television screens.

“Because usually I see him on TV, but now I can see him directly,” said Luisa.

Hipzan also expressed a similar impression and called the meeting his first face-to-face encounter with the president.

“This is the first time I’ve met Mr President,” added Hipzan.

In addition to expressing happiness, the three diaspora children also conveyed prayers for President Prabowo to always be granted health in carrying out his state duties.

“Always healthy, may Father (President Prabowo) always be healthy,” said Luisa.

The welcoming atmosphere grew even warmer when the three also greeted President Prabowo with a welcome in Japanese.

On this day, the president met with Emperor Naruhito of Japan at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries. President Prabowo was reported to have had a casual conversation with the Japanese emperor, discussing strategic issues of mutual interest for both nations.
