President Prabowo Vows Zero Tolerance for Officials Harming the People

President Prabowo Subianto has declared that he will not tolerate officials who are entrusted and paid by the people but implement policies that harm them. “We do not want to tolerate those who are trusted by the people, who are paid by the people, but carry out policies that are detrimental to the people,” Prabowo said in his speech while leading a simultaneous grand harvest with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) at 43 locations across Indonesia from Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base in Malang, East Java, on Friday. The President stated that all elements of government must work for the interests of the people. The Head of State emphasised that officials elected by the people, as well as those working in government, the bureaucracy, and state-owned enterprises, must unite and be cohesive in fighting for the people’s welfare. “Moreover, stealing the people’s money. We will not tolerate it. I will not tolerate it. I will not hesitate!” Prabowo asserted. According to him, all components of the nation must work together to ensure that the country’s wealth can be managed and utilised to the greatest extent for the interests of the people and future generations. On that occasion, the President also invited all elements of the nation to continue strengthening unity and mutual cooperation in facing various national challenges. “We do not want to be hostile to anyone. I say we want to be friends with all countries. But we are now aware that we must be compact, we must be united, all elements,” he said. During the event, Prabowo also conveyed that the integrated grand harvest held simultaneously at 43 points shows that food security is no longer just the business of the Ministry of Agriculture, but has become a national movement involving all the nation’s strengths. The President congratulated everyone on the grand harvest and appreciated the spirit of unity, collaboration, and mutual cooperation from all components of the nation.
