President Prabowo Visits Gorontalo Dock, Greets Fishermen and Distributes T-Shirts

GORONTALO, Kompas.com - President Prabowo Subianto inspected the Olalo Village Dock, which serves as a shelter for sorting and packing fish, in Gorontalo City on Saturday (9/5/2026).

Kompas.com observations at the site indicated that Prabowo conducted the inspection after visiting the nearby Merah Putih Fishermen’s Village. At the dock, Prabowo was seen greeting fishermen who were sailing.

Shortly afterwards, Prabowo returned to his Maung MV3 Garuda Limousine vehicle.

Surrounded by local residents, Prabowo emerged from the vehicle’s sunroof.

It is known that Prabowo continued his working visit by inspecting the Merah Putih Fishermen’s Village in South Leato, Gorontalo, after arriving from Miangas Island.

This marked the first time Prabowo visited the Merah Putih Fishermen’s Village.

Kompas.com observations at the location showed Prabowo arriving wearing a cream safari shirt.

Upon entering the Merah Putih Fishermen’s Village area, Prabowo was welcomed with cheers from the fishermen who had arrived at the site earlier.

Accompanying officials included Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, and Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel TNI Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Among the facilities are cold chain amenities such as ice factories, cold storage, cool box shelters, and fish landing shelters.

Additionally, there are supporting facilities for the area, including culinary kiosks, supply kiosks, a meeting hall, management office, prayer room, public toilets, biotech wastewater treatment plant, and a guard post.
