President Prabowo Urges Young Entrepreneurs to Ignore Cynics at HIPMI National Meeting
President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) not to listen to parties who can only be cynical. Prabowo wants young entrepreneurs to remain focused on working for the advancement of Indonesia. The message was emphasised by the President when opening the XVIII HIPMI National Conference in Bandar Lampung on Wednesday. In an online broadcast followed from Jakarta, President Prabowo said Indonesia needs entrepreneurs who are militant and never give up. “We must be united, cooperate together. If there are those who incite or divide, be assured they are working for others, not for Indonesians—the cynics,” said the President. Prabowo recalled the proverb ‘the dogs bark but the caravan moves on’, noting that Indonesia will stay on the right path and need not listen to cynical commentary. “We are heading towards victory and greatness, all of you. In the past, when our fighters declared independence, there were also many cynics,” he said.
