President Prabowo to Lead Full Cabinet Meeting This Friday Ahead of Eid al-Fitr
President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to chair a Full Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday (13 March) in the afternoon. The primary focus of the meeting is to refine the government’s strategy and preparedness in facing Eid al-Fitr 1447 H.
Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya confirmed that this major meeting will involve all ministerial ranks to ensure public services remain intact during the mudik and Lebaran periods.
“This afternoon there will be a Cabinet Meeting regarding Lebaran preparedness at 16.00 WIB,” said Teddy when contacted on Friday (13 March).
Ensuring Multi-Sectoral Preparedness
Teddy explained that the Cabinet Meeting aims to coordinate various crucial aspects optimally. The attendance of the Red and White Cabinet ministers is expected to provide current reports concerning food price stability, the readiness of transportation infrastructure, and aspects of national security.
“Teddy mentioned that this meeting will be attended by Red and White Cabinet ministers to ensure various aspects of Lebaran preparedness run optimally,” the statement noted.
Zakat Payment Process
Before entering the Cabinet Meeting agenda, activities at the State Palace will be initiated with the fulfilment of religious obligations by state officials. The President and cabinet members are scheduled to pay zakat through the National Zakat Collection Agency (Baznas).
“Before the cabinet meeting begins, the agenda will be opened with an activity of mal zakat and fitrah zakat payments by cabinet members to the National Zakat Collection Agency (Baznas). The activity is scheduled to take place at the State Palace around 15.00 WIB,” he concluded.
