President Prabowo to IPDN Cadets: Prioritise the People's Interests

President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the Pamong Praja Muda of IPDN Batch XXXIII to prioritise the interests of the people over personal interests. He delivered this message while presiding over the Inauguration Ceremony for the Pamong Praja Muda XXXIII IPDN 2026 at the IPDN Campus in Jatinangor, West Java, on Wednesday (29/7).

“The people demand state apparatuses who prioritise the people’s interests, not personal or group interests,” Prabowo said in his speech.

Prabowo emphasised that the Pamong Praja are the face and symbol of the state. He said their attitude and appearance symbolically determine whether the public feels the state is present and protecting them. Therefore, Prabowo stated that the duty of being a pamong praja is not easy.

“And from your decisions, the people will judge whether the state is trustworthy or not,” he said.

He asked all Praja Muda to work as well as possible. Prabowo stated that this could affect the people’s trust in them. He also urged them not to disappoint the Indonesian people.

“If you disappoint the people, it is not only your name that is ruined, but the people’s trust in the state is also destroyed. Ladies and gentlemen, we have great aspirations. Indonesia is a great nation,” he said.
