President Prabowo to Inaugurate Meninting Dam in NTB

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto departed for West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) on Friday to inaugurate the Meninting Dam in West Lombok Regency.

According to a statement from the Presidential Communications Office (BPMI) of the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta, the Indonesian Presidential Aircraft-1 carrying the President and his entourage took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at 10.45 Western Indonesia Time.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said President Prabowo Subianto would also inaugurate four other dams located in several regions across Indonesia.

“In NTB, the President will inaugurate the Meninting Dam in West Lombok Regency and, at the same time, also inaugurate four other dams, namely the Keureuto Dam and Rukoh Dam in Aceh Province, the Jlantah Dam in Central Java Province, and the Sidan Dam in Bali Province, as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen national water security,” said Teddy.

According to Teddy, the inauguration of the five dams demonstrates the government’s commitment to strengthening water resource infrastructure, which plays a strategic role in supporting food security, providing raw water, controlling floods and developing clean energy.

The presence of these dams is expected to provide significant benefits to the public, particularly in boosting agricultural productivity, guaranteeing water availability and strengthening the foundations of sustainable development.

Accompanying the President on the flight to NTB were the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
