Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto’s official visit to Tokyo has taken a sharp focus on economic acceleration.

Beyond the high-level diplomacy with Emperor Naruhito and PM Sanae Takaichi, the President is scheduled to personally receive several of Japan’s business leaders to solidify Indonesia’s position as a primary investment destination.

According to a statement from the Cabinet Secretariat on Sunday night (29/3/2026), President Prabowo will witness the signing of multiple strategic investment agreements between major Japanese corporations and Indonesian entities.

“The President is scheduled to receive several major entrepreneurs and witness investment agreements from several large Japanese companies in Indonesia,” the official announcement confirmed, as reported by antaranews.com

Accompanied by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, and Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya, the President is prioritizing sectors that define the 68-year partnership between the two nations. These include high-tech manufacturing, energy transition, education, and environmental management.

State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said that these “strategic strengths” are the backbone of the visit, aiming to transform long-standing friendship into concrete, modern industrial collaborations.
