President Prabowo to Deliver State Address and 2027 State Budget Bill
President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to deliver two major state agendas, namely the State Address at the Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives and the Regional Representatives Council (DPR-DPD RI), as well as the presentation of the 2027 State Budget Bill (RAPBN) along with its Financial Note at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday (14/8/2026).
This series of strategic agendas is held as an integral part of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi explained that this year’s state address has been brought forward by two days from the usual schedule of 16 August. This is because 16 August 2026 falls on a Sunday.
“The morning session will take place from 08.30 to 10.47 WIB and will be followed by the presentation of the 2027 RAPBN and Financial Note from 13.30 to 16.07 WIB,” said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi in a written statement received on Friday.
The morning session is filled with the Annual Session of the MPR RI and the Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI, jointly chaired by MPR RI Speaker Ahmad Muzani and DPD RI Speaker Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin. The session is attended by members of the DPR and DPD, former Presidents and Vice Presidents and their spouses, leaders of state institutions, ministers of the Merah Putih Cabinet, political party leaders, and ambassadors of friendly countries.
In the opening session, President Prabowo will deliver the State Address as well as a report on the performance achievements of state institutions, which will also be accompanied by the screening of a government performance evaluation video.
Meanwhile, in the afternoon session starting at 13.30 WIB, the proceedings will be chaired by DPR RI Speaker Puan Maharani, with the main focus being the presentation of the 2027 RAPBN Bill and its Financial Note by President Prabowo as the foundation for planning the direction of fiscal policy and state expenditure for the coming year.
The 2026 Annual Session series carries the grand theme of the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, namely “A Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia”.
MPR Deputy Speaker Eddy Soeparno expressed hope that President Prabowo Subianto would reinforce the continuity of the 8% economic growth roadmap in his State Address before Parliament.
Invited guests, ministers, and ambassadors began arriving at the DPR/MPR Building in Senayan ahead of the 2026 Annual Session and President Prabowo’s State Address.

In his address, the President is targeting economic growth in 2027 to be in the range of 5.8–6.5%, with state revenue at 11.82–12.40% of GDP.
