President Prabowo to Celebrate Eid al-Adha 1447 H at Indonesian Embassy Residence in Paris

JAKARTA: President Prabowo Subianto will perform Eid al-Adha prayers at the Indonesian Embassy in Paris. He will also meet with Indonesian citizens there. “President Prabowo is scheduled to perform Eid al-Adha prayers and meet with Indonesian citizens at the Indonesian Embassy residence in Paris,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in a statement on Tuesday (26 May 2026). The President arrived at Paris Orly Airport on Tuesday at approximately 9:50 local time. The Cabinet Secretary stated that this official state visit was planned for last year. “This arrival marks the start of President Prabowo’s state visit to France, which was scheduled last year and has undergone multiple reschedulings,” Teddy said. President Prabowo has also distributed 1,098 sacrificial cattle to regional governments, educational institutions, Islamic boarding schools, and community leaders. Deputy Minister of the State Secretariat Juri Ardiantoro detailed that 598 cattle would be distributed to provincial and district/city governments, while 500 would go to community and religious leaders. “In total, 1,098 cattle,” Juri said in a press statement at the Presidential Palace complex. Juri also explained that the cattle provided meet Islamic requirements: over two years old, male, and free from defects, with selected high-quality specimens. The total budget for the sacrificial cattle amounted to Rp100 billion, sourced from the state budget via the Presidential Social Assistance allocation.
