President Prabowo to Attend Eid al-Adha Prayers in France

JAKARTA – President Prabowo Subianto is reportedly set to attend Eid al-Adha prayers in France on 27 May 2026. Deputy State Secretary (Wamensesneg) Juri Ardiantoro stated that President Prabowo is currently on an official visit to France and will remain there on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. ‘The President departed for France on an overseas working visit yesterday, so he will adjust accordingly as he will still be there on Wednesday. We will wait for further updates,’ Juri told reporters at the Presidential Complex in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. When asked about the details of President Prabowo’s overseas visit to France, Juri declined to comment. He stated that Foreign Minister Sugiono is authorised to explain President Prabowo’s activities in France. ‘The Foreign Minister will provide further details,’ he added. This year’s Eid al-Adha saw President Prabowo donate a total of 1,098 sacrificial cattle distributed across all Indonesian regencies and cities, including one to Jakarta’s Istiqlal Mosque. ‘The President has agreed to donate 1,097 sacrificial cattle to be distributed across all provinces, regencies, and cities,’ Juri said. ‘One Simental bull weighing 1.3 tonnes was donated by the President for the Eid sacrifice at Istiqlal Mosque,’ he concluded.
