President Prabowo Summons Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani to Discuss Danantara Governance and Strategic Investments
JAKARTA, binews.id — President Prabowo Subianto summoned Investment and Downstreaming Minister/BKPM Head and concurrently Head of BPI Danantara Indonesia, Rosan Roeslani, to Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 20 May 2025.
The meeting discussed a number of strategic agenda items related to the future direction of state-owned enterprise (BUMN) investment and the strengthening of governance in national projects.
In his remarks following the meeting, Rosan conveyed that President Prabowo had directed that all investments undertaken by Danantara be carried out with the principles of transparency and sound accountability. These principles are expected to be applied across all investments, from the downstreaming sector to clean energy.
"The emphasis is indeed on governance, transparency, openness, and accountability. It was also stressed that BUMNs should improve and become drivers, particularly in terms of job creation. That was what was conveyed by the President," he said.
Rosan added that Danantara would deploy expert teams and open up opportunities for the involvement of specialists across various fields to ensure investments are conducted professionally and deliver tangible impact.
"Because we must also be accountable for the funds we disburse, we will be placing strong teams and will also be open to bringing in the necessary experts, so that going forward, the governance will also improve," he added.
Regarding Danantara's project portfolio, Rosan noted that several strategic projects had undergone comprehensive due diligence and were now entering the finalisation stage. He assured that all processes had met financial, legal, administrative, and technological requirements.
"We will also be transparent with the public about all the investments we are making. Because for us, the most important thing is that this process has been carried out correctly, comprehensively, and in accordance with existing regulations," Rosan said.
The closed-door meeting was also attended by Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
