President Prabowo Summons Hasan Nasbi to Palace, Signal of Cabinet Return?
President Prabowo Subianto summoned former Presidential Communications Office Chief (PCO) and current Pertamina Commissioner Hasan Nasbi to the Presidential Palace on Thursday, 12 March. As of now, the purpose of the sudden summons remains a mystery.
Nasbi arrived at the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta, acknowledging that he had not received detailed information regarding the meeting’s agenda.
“I do not know why I was called. They said there was an agenda with the President,” said Hasan at the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta.
Hasan explained that he had only received instructions to report to the Palace through protocol around 1:30 PM. However, he was unaware of his capacity in the meeting.
When asked about the possibility of returning to the Red and White Cabinet, Hasan could not provide comment either. He stated that he could only provide further explanation after the restricted meeting (ratas) concluded.
“I cannot comment yet. We have not had any discussion about that. Be patient, later,” said Hasan.
The summons triggered speculation as Hasan had previously appeared to attend a restricted meeting held at President Prabowo’s private residence in Hambalang, West Java, on Monday evening, 9 March 2026.
Nevertheless, Hasan claimed his presence in Hambalang at that time was merely to monitor the progress of ministerial performance as a listener.
“I was merely listening at that time. This time I do not know the agenda. After it is finished, only then can I inform you,” he explained.
