President Prabowo Summons BRIN Leadership to Discuss Research Boosting National Priorities

President Prabowo Subianto summoned the leadership of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) to the Presidential Palace on Thursday (6/8/2026) afternoon. The meeting is expected to be attended by officials down to the level of Head of Research Centre and Head of Research Organisation, as well as other structural officials within BRIN.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi explained that during the meeting, the President will listen to presentations on various BRIN research findings deemed to have the potential to accelerate the achievement of government targets in strategic sectors.

‘Our colleagues from BRIN will present several research findings that focus on helping to achieve the government’s priority programmes, in the areas of food, energy, and several matters that can solve problems faced by the community,’ Prasetyo said.

Some of the innovations to be presented include technology-based waste management and the development of solar-powered boats.
