President Prabowo: State Budget is a tool of struggle, not just a document

President Prabowo Subianto has stressed that the State Budget (APBN) is not merely a state financial document, but an instrument of struggle. “The APBN is an instrument to protect the people. A tool to strengthen the nation. A tool to realise the ideals of independence in achieving a better life,” the President said during the submission of the Government’s Statement on the Bill on the 2027 State Budget and its Financial Note at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Friday. He asserted that if the nation’s heroes once fought for Indonesia to have a state, the current shared task is to ensure the state succeeds in improving the quality of life for its people. The President detailed that the state must be present when farmers need fertiliser, when fishermen need boats and cold storage, when workers need protection, and when children need nutritious food and good schools. “Independence is not complete just because the Indonesian flag is flying. Independence must be felt at the dinner table, in our children’s classrooms, in the puskesmas and hospitals,” he declared.
