President Prabowo Reveals Ministers Worked So Hard They Were Hospitalised

PRESIDENT Prabowo Subianto has revealed that his ministers and aides in the Red and White Cabinet have been working flat out. He made the remarks while delivering his State Address at the Annual Session of the MPR RI, held jointly with the DPR RI and DPD RI at the Parliamentary Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday (14/8/2026).

Prabowo explained that the high work tempo imposed by the government had taken a toll, with a number of his ministers falling ill and requiring medical treatment in hospital.

“So hard have my ministers and my aides been working. Several of them have had to be admitted to hospital, some fainted, some underwent surgery, and many were exhausted,” Prabowo said.

Prabowo acknowledged that his ministers had been working hard and getting insufficient rest. He joked that he had promised to give his team adequate time off.

“I have promised them that in the remainder of my term, I will give them plenty of time to rest. This is proof of the seriousness of the government I lead. According to my aides, there are no public holidays in my calendar,” he said.

Furthermore, Prabowo stressed that the trust placed in him by all Indonesians is the highest honour, which must be repaid with dedication and without complaint.

“What I want to say is that we accept this mandate with full honour. The task given by the people is a noble honour for us, and therefore we will work as hard as we can, we will go all out working for our people and our nation,” Prabowo concluded.
