President Prabowo Returns to Indonesia After France State Visit
President Prabowo Subianto has returned to Indonesia. He previously undertook a state visit to France, meeting with President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace.
Live footage on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel on Saturday, 30 May 2026, showed President Prabowo’s Garuda Indonesia flight GA-1 landing at Halim Perdanakusuma Base Operations in Jakarta. He disembarked at approximately 10:19 WIB.
President Prabowo was greeted by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Vice Chief of the Indonesian National Armed Forces General Tandyo Budi Revita. He engaged in brief conversations with them.
During his stay in Paris, President Prabowo attended various events aimed at strengthening Indonesia-France bilateral relations. His itinerary included a state welcome ceremony at Les Invalides and a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
Additionally, he attended a state dinner hosted by President Macron at the Salle des Fêtes of the Élysée Palace. During the visit, President Prabowo also performed the Idul Adha prayer with the Indonesian community and diaspora in Paris.
The state visit underscores Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening active diplomacy and expanding strategic partnerships with friendly European nations.
Accompanying President Prabowo on the return flight to Jakarta were Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
