President Prabowo Reshuffles Attorney General's Office Leadership, Appoints Kuntadi as Jampidsus

President Prabowo Subianto has officially appointed Kuntadi as the new Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), replacing Febrie Adriansyah. The appointment was formalised through Presidential Decree Number 87/TPA of 2026 concerning the dismissal and appointment of high-level leadership positions within the Attorney General’s Office.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that the decree also appointed four other senior officials: Asep Nana Mulyana as Deputy Attorney General, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak as Junior Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum), Herli Siregar as Head of the Attorney General’s Education and Training Agency, and Patris Yusrian Jaya as Head of the Attorney General’s Asset Recovery Agency. Prasetyo confirmed that the five officials can immediately assume their duties without a formal inauguration ceremony, as the presidential decree has been signed, and they will be effective once all administrative processes are completed.

The reshuffle follows the implication of the previous Jampidsus, Febrie Adriansyah, in a corruption case. Attorney General ST Burhanuddin had submitted a list of candidates for the position to the President, with Kuntadi widely considered the leading candidate. House of Representatives Commission III Deputy Chairman Ahmad Sahroni expressed confidence that Kuntadi was the best choice for the role.
