President Prabowo Subianto received 12 leaders of global investment firms during a meeting held as part of his working visit to Washington DC, United States, on Friday (20/02/2026). The investors comprised CEOs and presidents of leading global investment companies with combined assets under management of approximately US$15 trillion.

Investment and Downstream Industries Minister and BKPM Chief, who also serves as Danantara CEO, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, said the meeting — originally scheduled for one hour — ran for nearly two hours owing to what he described as highly constructive discussions.

“The discussion was quite lengthy, approximately two hours, from an initial estimate of just one hour, because the discussion was very fruitful, very productive,” Rosan told reporters after the meeting.

During the meeting, President Prabowo outlined the direction of national economic policy, measures to strengthen the investment climate, and the government’s commitment to maintaining stability and legal certainty. The dialogue then continued with one-on-one sessions with each company leader to discuss further cooperation potential.

Rosan explained that Danantara’s presence received positive appreciation from the global investors. They assessed Danantara as having the potential to become a strategic local partner across various investment schemes, both in Indonesia and globally.

“They also see potential as a local partner for Danantara, and that provides comfort and confidence as well, because we can invest together not only in Indonesia but also outside Indonesia,” he explained.

Rosan said that President Prabowo used the occasion to affirm that Indonesia no longer wishes to be known as a sleeping giant. It is time for Indonesia to rise, move forward, and maximise the nation’s full economic potential together with global partners.
