President Prabowo Subianto has been purchasing sacrificial animals from farmers in various regions ahead of Eid al-Adha 2026. One such animal is a 474 kilogram bull purchased from a farmer in Tabanan Regency, Bali.

The choice sacrifice animal for President Prabowo is a three-year-old Balinese bull raised by I Wayan Doni Ardita (36), a resident of Banjar Anyar, Perean Kangin Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan. The bull is planned to be slaughtered for sacrifice at the Nurul Falah Mosque, Dauh Peken Village, Tabanan.

Doni said that President Prabowo has purchased sacrificial animals from him twice before. Last year, Prabowo bought two bulls from Doni.

“This time it’s only one bull, priced at IDR 60 million,” said Doni Ardita when met at his farm on Sunday (17/5/2026).

Doni stated that officials from the Bali Provincial Agriculture Office and the Tabanan Regency Agriculture Office initially conducted a survey at his farm in April. At that time, the officers checked the health condition of the bulls, their weight, and physical appearance.

The selected bull received special treatment, including care and feed. This included vitamin injections and concentrated feed. Doni predicts that the bull’s weight could increase to over 500 kilograms by the day of slaughter.

“This bull must be well cared for because if anything happens to it, we will have to compensate with a bull of the same weight and quality,” said Doni.

Doni is grateful that his livestock was purchased by President Prabowo. In addition to the presidential choice bull, other bulls at Doni’s farm have also been ordered by several mosques in Tabanan Regency and Denpasar City for sacrifice.

“Currently, we raise 30 bulls, some of which have been ordered for sacrifice. The rest we breed for breeding stock,” said Doni.

Doni said that the cattle farming business was started by his father in 2014. Initially, Doni’s father only raised three cows kept in a hut in the middle of a rice field.

Now, Doni continues and develops the cattle farming business that his father started. In addition to Bali, Doni and his family also sell their livestock outside the island, such as to Java and Kalimantan. According to Dono, Balinese bulls are in demand because of their quality meat.
