Amid departure protocols, President Prabowo took time to approach French security personnel tasked with safeguarding and ensuring the smooth running of his entire agenda during the state visit to Paris. Jakarta (ANTARA) — President Prabowo Subianto posed for a photograph with members of the French Presidential Security Group (GSPR), who provided security during his state visit to Paris from 27 to 29 May 2026. At Orly Airport’s apron in Paris on Friday, shortly before boarding Garuda Indonesia flight PK-GIF, President Prabowo greeted and expressed gratitude to the French security personnel, then invited them for a group photo. ‘Amid departure protocols, President Prabowo approached French security personnel tasked with safeguarding and ensuring the smooth running of his entire agenda during the state visit to Paris. In a warm and cordial atmosphere, he took a group photo with them as a gesture of appreciation for their dedication and professionalism,’ according to a Presidential Secretariat statement confirmed in Jakarta on Friday evening. The Presidential Secretariat stated in the same release that this gesture reflects President Prabowo’s leadership style of valuing all forms of service, while also highlighting the strong friendly relations between the two nations during the state visit. From Orly Airport, President Prabowo and a limited delegation, including Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, departed for home. Garuda Indonesia Flight PK-GIF carrying the president was scheduled to land at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Saturday (30 May). Subsequently, President Prabowo attended a state dinner hosted by President Macron at the Salle des Fêtes in the Élysée Palace. During his state visit, he also performed Eid al-Adha prayers with Indonesian nationals and the diaspora at the Indonesian Embassy in Paris.
