President Prabowo Outlines Macro Assumptions for the 2027 RAPBN

In his speech at the Plenary Session of the House of Representatives on the Macro Economic Framework and Core Principles of the Fiscal Policy of the RAPBN 2027, President Prabowo Subianto set a target for the rupiah against the US dollar at Rp 16,800–17,500 per US$ for the 2027 fiscal year. “Our fiscal and monetary strategy must be one that can maintain our exchange rate stability,” Prabowo said at the 19th Plenary Session of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. Compared with the APBN 2026, the target has risen from the previously set Rp 16,500 per US$. In addition to the exchange rate, the President announced a number of macro assumptions for RAPBN 2027. For economic growth, he targets 5.8–6.5%. For inflation, 1.5–3.5%. Meanwhile the 10-year Government Securities yield is targeted at 6.5–7.3%.

Indonesia’s crude oil price is targeted at US$70–95 per barrel. Oil production is targeted at 602–615 thousand barrels per day. For natural gas production, the target is 934–977 thousand barrels per day.
