President Prabowo: Our Managed Assets Now Worth 1 Trillion Dollars
President Prabowo Subianto affirmed that Indonesia has successfully managed sovereign wealth fund assets worth 1 trillion dollars. He added that the assets currently managed by Indonesia are higher than those of Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
This was conveyed by Prabowo during the inauguration of the operationalization of 1,061 Merah Putih Cooperatives in Nganjuk, East Java, on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
“We now have a sovereign wealth fund, and our sovereign wealth fund is perhaps the sixth largest in the world, with assets we manage now totaling 1 trillion dollars,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo added that Indonesia ranks among the top five countries with the largest assets in the world.
“Brothers and sisters, we are now fifth. Here, we are the fifth largest in the world, and it was only established in 2025. Abu Dhabi was established in 1976, China in 1997, CIC from China also in 2007, Norway in 1990, Norway is the largest, a very small country, with very large savings,” Prabowo said.
“We are even above Qatar, above Saudi Arabia, and also above Singapore,” he continued.
He said that the benefits of managing these assets can be seen in the next 10 or 20 years. He said that this asset management is very useful for Indonesia in the future.
“So, this is our country, we already have Danantara, and in 10 years, 20 years, remember, look, look at the date, look at the year, you will see what we did in 2025, 2026. Not now, but in 20 years, you will evaluate what we did today, what we did is fundamental,” he emphasized.
