Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto opened a Plenary Cabinet Session at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday afternoon, attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, all ministers of the Merah Putih Cabinet, Presidential Special Envoys, and heads of state institutions.

In his speech, Prabowo addressed several matters concerning the forthcoming Eid holiday travel season (mudik) scheduled for 2026.

“First, I have asked the Minister of Transportation to ensure that fare discount policies are implemented to the best possible standard, including discounts for aeroplane, train, ship, and toll road tickets, whilst ensuring good service provision at every location,” Prabowo stated.

He also called upon the Commander of the Armed Forces and the National Police Chief to mobilise military and police resources to facilitate smooth holiday travel.

The President requested that Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf provide additional food assistance to 36 million families receiving benefits in income deciles 1, 2, 3, and 4 to ensure proper distribution.

Furthermore, Prabowo requested that regular social assistance be distributed on schedule.

On employment matters, Prabowo emphasised that holiday allowances (THR) for central and regional civil servants must be distributed on time.

Holiday bonuses for online transport sector workers also received special attention from Prabowo.

“Holiday bonuses for online transport workers—ensure that what we have determined reaches them, specifically between 400,000 and 1.6 million rupiah per person. We should be grateful that in our government, online drivers are receiving holiday bonuses,” the President stated.

Regarding food supply, Prabowo instructed the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Trade Minister Budi Santoso, and Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman to ensure stable and secure food supplies so that prices remain manageable.

Prabowo noted that the world is currently filled with uncertainty. Nevertheless, he stated that the national economic engine must continue operating.

The President expressed hope that this year’s holiday travel would proceed safely and smoothly whilst revitalising all sectors of the economy.

“For all ministries and agencies, I hope that we execute preparations for the Eid holiday. Let us ensure that this year’s mudik proceeds well, safely, comfortably, and with full joy. Prioritise road safety and prepare all aspects thoroughly,” the President said.
